No, EW, I don't think you were dreaming at all. (Well, I mean, at least the part about this being Blair's second visit to Iraq; uPC may be better able to respond about the "copycat" part, whenever he gets a little less enamoured wid ole iron.) I seem to recall Blair being there sometime in the first half of the old year.

RR, at age 23 and actually having an older child she definitely shouldn't be immature and irresponsible. But I'll put it to you that she was. The proof is in what she did.
. . Re "it would be wise that young mothers be embraced into a situation of a village raising a child", I actually had written another comment encouraging anyone knowing young mothers to perhaps be nosy and ask if everything is OK, but I erased it out because I felt out of place suggesting anything such to the Mangoites here. (Most here could teach me a thing or two re parenthood, no? Nah, I'm pretty good, miself.) In any case, that precious little 10 month-old life would likely have been spared if a caring elder had intervened, quite as you suggested.
. . And what with that taking out her frustration on the child because she "had bonded with her father during his recent visit from New York"? Yes, more evidence of immaturity and irresponsibility.

From another report: "During an appearance on Friday, Howell fainted when she heard the judge and lawyers say her baby might die." I wonder whether that was from genuine love and care for the baby, or from knowing then that murder may be the charge. Some people learn the hard way that "Farrin" is not Jamdung.
