I never second guess Eddie Seaga on technical knowledge. Even if he is a lousy leader, he's proven to be the best economic 'brains' around. Yardie, I think he knows that the payroll of some ministries is swollen with PNP hacks who are there simply as payoff for their votes. They have to go, but not to be replaced by their JLP counterparts. Seaga has never been one to engage in that kind of corruption.

You rightly said that some form of debt relief is needed to pull us out of the hole. I fear that this alone will not do it and it may need to be combined with harsh medicine. If the situation is properly managed, economic expansion will follow and, with that, even more jobs in both the public and private sectors.
