Re privatising the game, EW, I have no high-level business skills to feel confident of a position. But, at the outset I wouldn't support that. Caribbean cricket is just behind CARICOM and UWI as a regional integrator and since I believe in the region coming closer, I feel privatising it would allow for selfish business interests to possibly redirect its aim/heading. For instance, just play matches where money can be made, where there's ease of access, etc.
. . However, I can easily see some privatising at the club level, particularly creating a new regional club competition. As it is now, there's a single extended-play (4-day) inter-territory series yearly, and same with the One-Days-- one deggay deggay one a year time. And that too at a time when England isn't taking us wholesale into County cricket anymore.
