P, it does smell of inside work. How else could the loss climb so high before managment became aware of a glitch in the computer system unless someone was conducting a massive cover-up on the inside?

I failed in my previous post to directly address the ? of taxes. I don't agree with Uncle on this one. (And yes, this does not mean I am second guessing...I just have my own opinion). In fact, I feel that we should be going in the opposite direction, i.e., that of lower taxes. I've seen that work in America in a way that debunks a myth we continue to hold on to in Jamaica, viz, higher taxes produce higher revenues. This happens only in the very short term but, over time, what clearly emerges is a bell curve picture of lower revenues on the other end of the curve.

I am therefore convinced that the social chaos of which you speak can be averted by: (1) sending home the political appointees, (2) LOWER TAXES and (3) debt relief. The first one doesn't have to be done in one fell swoop and should not be targeted at those who are doing productive work.

What do you think about privatizing WI cricket, AE? Anyone?
