Let me tell you why although I dont think even with a new JLP government that all our woes as a country will be solved over night. I dont think any one here implied that however, If The ONE DON goes thousands of Jamaicans of all colors would be willing to give the JLP a chance in proving that they can govern better because..for one thing we thought our memories are short some things stick. No one likes a bully!
Let me tell you Michael Manley was a big bad bully in the party.{FACT} The difference with him and Mass Eddie is that he never allowed what was happening to get let out. He never seem to wield a big stick, but he did. He was truly the Don. Apart from brains and know how a good personality is also required for a politician. (Yep, Piper ah hear you bawling out sey PJ nuh have nuh personality but my sister, let me tell you he is a far easier approachable person than MM was in his time.) And I love MM to death. What you think cause the death of persons like Hugh Small, a stink personality. His constituent hated him and had he ran again in SW ST. Catherine he would have lost like he lost the safe seat in East Kingston 1980.
So Sis Dine is not that EW leaving the JLP will solve JA woes, is just that most people fear him. To be feared is not qualities of leadership no matter how good you are. No matter the economic genius you are, no matter how some people *YG* think you are the best thing since slice bread.
Him stepping down will be a step in the right direction...a direction where democracy within and out of party and country will be given fair opportunity to be practiced. And if the next leader of either party feels hanging on to power because they and they only can solve the ills of Jamaica. Then the same fate awaits them in leading their party to defeat not once or twice nor trice norshould I go onnnn..
