Prof. YG, after making my way through the dense thicket of emotionalism in your post, the only coherent response to what I posted was this:

"PJ is now in power, not because of any brilliant leadership but because of the many little hum bugs least of which was not the heavy rains which kept away the uncommitted nor the fact that people felt insulted about the manner in which Bruce was heralded and bandied about."

Is that the best you can do ? The PNP won the last general election because of Bruce Golding and heavy rain ????? If I am not mistaken, Bruce was neither running nor did he hold any position in the party in 2002. And did the rain fall only on the uncommitted who would have voted for the JLP ?

Come on YG, do better than that man.

As far as the Local Government Elections are concerned, the fact remains that more of those who voted PNP in the 2002 General Election stayed home (383,887 in 2002 versus 249,882 in 2003, a drop of 134,005) than did those who voted JLP ( 346,860 versus 267,081, a drop of 79,779).

That is why the JLP won.
