Lauderhill, a Ft Lauderdale satellite city, a.k.a. Jamaica Hill, will host some matches of the Cricket World Cup 2007. Lauderhill has won the ICC designation as the official U.S. bid city, vying as one of ten or eleven West Indian cities/territories for eight available places. Even with that reality I still say "will host some matches" because a South Florida venue (with all the advanced plan that we have in place) will be a shoe-in. Congrats to all the committee members and special big-up to Lance Gibbs, Yagga Rowe, Hazel Rogers (J'can councilwoman from an adjoining town) and Chandradath Singh (former T&T consul general).

New York, take a look at what our stadium is to look like and weep!
