Re Golding: Didn't I say I didn't feel "the fire in his belly?"
-----------------------------------------------

{{All of his actions in the short time that he took the post of chairman have been anything but 'reformist'. Golding has been acting as the prodigal child returned home, grateful to the father (Seaga) for killing the fatted calf and accepting him back into the fold.

"Golding has arrived," said one of the 'reformists'. "We are now on our own. There is going to be no help from him after we were the ones who propelled him, literally forced him to go where he is now."

"I believe Bruce has cut a deal with Seaga," said another. "There will be no challenge to Seaga until Seaga says so. Seaga has won. He has us where he wants us because he knows Golding is weak, is his boy."}}
