YG, they don't have to be a member of the JCA to get the help they need. Just have them call 416-746-5772. I would suggest that they ask to speak to the ED whose name is Ms. Williams and she will direct them to the appropriate staff.

The other thing is depending on where the person lives, there is another service called Tropicana (in the Scarborough area, 416-439-9009) where they will get the same help. No membership needed.

There is also a service in the Brampton/Mississauga area (name escapes me at the moment, but will get it for you) where they can go as well. It really depends on the person's geography which service they use.

The JCA tries to intervene to prevent the kids from ending up with CA, as you know how this negatively affects black kids. If they are already involved with CA, then it is their responsibility to help the parent(s) get the kids back. Hope this is enough help If not let me know. Lata
