Thanks everyone for the welcome back. PC, I must tell you, that indeed yu can get the 2 spoon a rum. Check yu mail box
In talking to the ONE DON, he totally agrees wid YG. He said to me, "yu know Annj, nothing like a Comrade who moves over to di Labourite camp. They become so bitter about the fact that they did not get to do the things they wanted under "Black man time now" theory, that dem figa sey, coming ova to "I will falla Busta till I die" camp dem will get fi duh as dem pleeze. Yu si chile, mi knoe how dem feel causen sey, mi did ova di Black man time now camp, but jeew tu mi colour, mi neva reely fit, so mi decide fi falla Busta till I die - fi real, mi mean till I die. So, tell YG and Errol (mi undastan how EW feel, but mi nuh mine him for him is a PERMANENT Labourite - him caan change, nuh matta whey mi duh - dead or aliv) sey, mi naah lef, so mi dis a watch di young bud dem whey nuh knoe starm a play fool. Dem still haffi come to me before dem mek nuh statement, so nuh watch nutten".
I tell you that despite the difficulties in Ja, it is still the place to go to rejuvenate. I cannot tell you how different I have felt. Yardie, yu know sey, mi bess fren madda cook a pat a cow foot fi mi Sunday, lawd have mercy. Mi eat fi mi an yu massa. And, Sis RR, mi was ova Portmore Friday night nyamming fish and Bammy. I am making myself sick just thinking about it!
Is lang time mi nuh si fish big so. I had the steam fish wid steam bammy - den mi neva knoe sey dem steam di bammy inna coconut milk - lawd, mi licking mi finga, mercy, mercy me! Sitting on the roof, eating fish and bammy and watching the cruise ships come and go, well, who could ask for anything more? Next ting you know is after 2 in the morning and you have relaxed away every ounce of stress you have built up in years. Then you go home and chat until the sun seeps thru the curtains and yu fall asleep for a few hours and you feel like you have slept for 3 years. Mi still believe nuh whey nuh betta dan yaad. If we ONLY had good managers of our resources, I will die believing first world countries would come running to us for help! But alas, there are the haves and the have nots.
Rich, enjay yuself Bredrin - afterall, as Sis Dine sey, Spring is just round di J'can corner!
YG, I do agree wid yu bout dem African doctors. I don't know the origins of the doctors at the Mandeville hospital in this case, but I am telling you, if you saw the state of the car, then it leaves no question in your mind. Lady Di's car was in waaaaay betta shape than this young woman's. Sad thing is she was only 26 and truly beautiful. (Unlike the ting dem whey PC have nerve fi post here!
)
Another thing that really caught my eye was how extremely vulnerable the police are. Considering the fact that our gunmen cry no quarters fi kill, I was just stunned at how openly the cops had to stand at the traffic lights to nab peeple running red lights and thereby causing death, destruction and further congestion. People break the lights with no thought - unbelieveable! As we stopped at lights, they were in arms reach from us sitting in the car and all I could say was how easy it would be to have someone just blow them away just by driving up beside them. Scary. I really believe anyone who has the nerve to join the force right now, must be commended.
I cannot even begin to talk about the cars that my brothers and sisters drive. Boggles the mind. Ain't neva seen so many Escalades in my life!
I found the gas to be cheaper than we pay here, but then dollar for dollar, I don't know how they can afford to keep those vehicles on the road. It also begs the question, how much does the govt pay for oil??????
Anyway, lata.
