"It is you not I that brought up voting blocs"

Yes I did, and I maintain that overseas residents represent a bloc under my proposal that if the vote is extended to us, it should be for electing a single rep to Parliament or, better still, to elect a president in a federal type election. You gloss over the logistical nightmare that would be involved in assigning us to constituencies with some facile solution that we all have ties to different constituencies. It is not as easy as that my friend. Currently people vote in JA according to where they reside, believe it or not. I think we should too. In other words, extending the vote to us has to be well thought out and provisions have to be made to make this "mesh" with the current system, at best. Otherwise, yu can figet it!!

"That BG was handed a constituency with which he had no ties"

Hogwash and you know it. His ties are to the party first and foremost and the people of West Kingston were given ample opportunity to reject him. They did not. Nothing was handed to BG and, besides, this kind of thing happens in JA politics 'everyday' so how come you protest only when BG does it. BTW, how did BG get dragged into our debate?

"So how did BG, a man of mediocre talent...become leader of the JLP?"

Looks like you were hybernating when we had our elections. Look, if our delegates made a mistake, the people will speak loud and clear about it in 2007. Admittedly, this is prospect that depresses me but I am, first and foremost, a democrat at heart. Anyway, if BG is a man of mediocre talent, what about some of those on the other side who are frothing at the mouth to become PM? BG cannot do any worse than all of them put together even if he tried his darndest.
