Sis Dine: Thanks for that site. I see that a favorite vacation place for many of them is Jamaica.

I saw part of IMPACT yesterday and the discussion was about the upcoming delegate vote. In the people-in-the-street interviews some are not happy with the fact that only PNP delegates will be selecting the next prime minister of Jamaica. As usual one guy hit the nail square n the head: "But a nuh ongle delegate one live inna Jamaica."

No island-wide tour for PMs successor

Peoples National Party (PNP) President, PJ Patterson, has called off plans to take his successor on an island wide tour after the February 25 election.
Mr. Patterson made this disclosure during a ceremony at the party's Old Hope Road headquarters Monday morning.

Mr. Patterson also disclosed that he has not yet decided on a date on which he will formally hand over the reins as party leader and Prime Minister to his successor.

He says he will decide on the date in collaboration with the person who emerges as party president.

Last September Mr. Patterson had announced at the party's annual conference that he would be taking his successor on an island wide caravan in the wake of their victory during the special delegates conference.

PNP delegates will elect Mr. Pattersons successor on February 25 at Jamaica College in St. Andrew during a special delegates conference.
