Sis HR: I watched most of the funeral on C-Span last night. I also taped what I could of it. The funeral which was elegant in almost every aspects was also a study in contrasts. Dubya's leadership stature was rightfully diminished when placed alongside Bill Clinton, Carter and even his father on center stage. I felt a pang of sympathy for W watching Bill Clinton just speak to the audience, sans text, whereas W's speech must have been written by 90 speechwriters.

Joseph Lowery was the absolute best, peppering the audience with a good dose of reality, when he stated billions for war but nothing for the poor, absence of weapons of mass destruction yet the presence of weapons of misdirection here at home. He is going to heaven, that man.

Serves Obama right, he had it coming....
Rev: Obama is practicing the "centrist" style of politics. Trying to appeal to both sides, and every Tom Dick and Harry. Well, I have news for him. You must have some core values, and be consistent and courageous when making decisions. Only one democrat in my lifetime has ever succeeded using this centrist approach, and that is Bill Clinton. Obama is no Bill Clinton. He had breakfast with Bush shortly after winning a seat in the Senate, and has abandoned the morals and the fighting spirit he displayed prior to his election. He is now wishy washy and two face, and let me add, self righteous. McCain shoulda tell him two J'can bad wud.
