Well HR, I really have nothing bad to say about the late HLS. Whether the economic expansion that he oversaw could be replicated by the lightweights in the current JLP regime is another matter, not to mention that they would be starting from less than scratch as Omar has left the next leader whoever he or she is, with nothing left to build on. HLS did not have to deal with that.

Given HLS' proven abilities to negotiate however, he may have been able to approach the Group of 7/World Bank/IMF cabal about debt forgiveness successfully. For without that, not even obeah can save the Jamaican economy.
