Finally, someone turn on the lights in that kitchen called Capitol Hill and all the roaches are running for cover. This is what John McCain had been talking about for years which is why his party hates him. Well I guess he had the last laugh. Lobbyists are elected by no one, appointed by no one, are accountable to no one and for the most part unknown to the public. It's only now that the popular press is beginning to give people some idea of how much power and influence these people who fly under radar have.

I just got my heating bill the other day an nearly faint. Well we are all wearing sweaters on top of layers now.

Errol, you worked at BNS back in the 70's ? But wait, mi never know that you was an old fart like me too :rollin
Anyway, that was St. Margaret's Bay there. Can't think of the restaurant either.

Miss Amy, good to see you ! Yes mam, you would think the Ipod was for teenagers, well I am in my dotage so is six of one, half dozen of the other. Anyway, I am here in the midst of "digitizing" my old tapes. Also, what is nice about it is that you can buy individual songs from an album, a huge money saver. For example, I bought a Freddie Mcgregor CD the other day ("Coming in Tough") for $15.00 an don;t get me wrong, I love Freddy bad, but the truth is I only like 3 of the cuts - would have cost me $2.97 through the ITunes music store. This thing is going to save the music a number of ways, there is less need for illegal downloads now, people are buying more songs and the artists are being forced to stop cramming junk on their CD's. My next purchase is going to be software that will save streaming audio from internet radio (Like Mutty on Power 102) so I can listen at a later time.

Another legend passes. RIP Lou Rawls.
