Glad to see the Jamaican govt. stop romping with these little upstarts who want every Jamaican, even if you own and operate business in their country, to have visa.
Facety set.

The Jamaican Government has hit back at the decision by the Govenment of the Cayman Islands to impose visa requirements on Jamaicans seeking to enter that country.
As of December one, Caymanians will require visas to enter Jamaica.

: I'm very concerned about what will happen in Spanish Town and May Pen over the weekend.
I pray for Jamaica.
Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks to democracy which prevent the govt. from taking certain pre-emptive steps such as banning the flying of the colours known to represent criminal elements. Anyway, hope all goes well.

: Regarding Portia: I wasn't surprised that Cliff asked about her hair, the fact that he was feeling up the woman's head to prove her hair was her own was the problem for me. It's like if Clinton had to prove whether he wore boxers or briefs.

: Portia needs new advisors. Why would she not meet with the PSOJ? Makes no sense at all. And Barbara Gloudon mentioned in her column that the belief is that she was dodging this important group.
With women leaders just elected in Europe and Africa, Portia's time may be at hand, if she doesn't blow it. Tell you the truth though, there's a kind of toughness that a PM must have to lead Jamaica at this crucial time which I don't see in
any
of the candidates. For example, she wouldn't reveal what her strategy for coralling the crime monster because she doesn't want to alert the criminals so they can plan against it. She would only talk about community development and other cliches. (Not that I don't think that's important, but that alone will not get the guns out of the very wealthy and well-armed criminals.)
