First, there was the vulgar and concerted assault on Portia Simpson Miller in St Thomas, a knee-jerk reaction to her successful launch. Can you imagine the panic of a KD Knight, awash in cold sweat at the prospect of a Simpson Miller victory?

The St Thomas battering of Portia was followed by Arnold Bertram's missive in the Sunday Gleaner, with his veiled threat of a parliamentary coup suggesting the overturning of the wishes of the delegates. Scree, it is the delegates who have the power. These are not the backward days when members of parliament ruled.
