Hi Everyone:
It's a long time since I last logged on and took my seat under the tree. I see classes are still being held, and everyone a chat an laff, and tek bad sinting mek joke.
Year 2005 is fast coming to an end....like every year since 1999, it brought forth some family sorrows, but by now I've learnt to accept that as part and parcel of the natural process of life, painful as it is. Apart from that, I am still blessed with good health and strength, and the love of family and kind friends. So I still have much to be thankful for.
Professor YG: I see you are still holding the fort standing firm and strong. Sorry to hear about the maddening baptism you and family experienced a yaad, but bro is nutten new. My advice to anyone going home to burry a family member.... Expeck fi dem nyam out yuh aise hole and dig out yuh yeye. An mek sure yuh clime di moneytree and pick nuff nuff a di bigges and di pretties leaf dem, cause dose backa yaad expec yuh fi spen life money grow pon trees.
Miss HR: Neice has much to be thankful for. Hope she'll recover soon.
Miss Why: Portia is still MY GIRL, and di bway dem jus bad-mine, but so much has been happening dat I am forced to jus stay on the side and watching tings. Somehow tings nuh right ah John shop a gad tall a tall! My greatest fear is dat should Sis P be given the blighe, she may not be able to control the criminal elements. 'Causen sey mi tink shi too sof' fi hangle dem. But who else is there? Who is tuff enuff fi lead from the frontline widdoutn sidelining anyone?
Professor Yardie: Thanks for those breathtaking pictures of yaad. In spite of everything bad, Mother Nature is still good....and from time to time, it is just scenes like those, and the memories they bring, that suffice those of us living in a strange land. Oh, and you have really aroused my curiousity. The I-Pod seems to be the craze of the century, but I thought it was just a teenager's thing. Now you have me thinking more about it afterall.
MASS FLAYVA: Congrats on holding your own fi a whole year. We pray it will ongle get better for you in the new year ahead.
Well Mangoites, near and far, one and all, it's that time of year when we tend to make resolutions only to break them the next day. Enjoy all the shinalings. Go to church if that's your thing. Party if yuh party. Oh sure by all means get drunk and get on bad (no, nat disorderly) but mek sure dat yuh is nat di designated Driver.
