Yardie, it is common place for some men to be unsure if their sperm is the responsibile party in child birth. Let's not start counting now, how many men
are "not sure"....

I think this resolution was overkill since Cong. Jesse Jackson, Jr. led a moment of silence for him a few days ago. Let MJ rest in peace.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090709/ap_en_ce/us_pelosi_michael_jackson WASHINGTON - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shut the door Thursday to a resolution honoring Michael Jackson because debate on the symbolic measure could raise "contrary views" about the pop star's life. Lawmakers are free to use House speeches "to express their sympathy or their praise any time that they wish," said Pelosi, D-Calif.
"I don't think it's necessary for us to have a resolution."

end of October," Beecher reports."

Iran | ||

Iran is a country of over 70 million people and is the size of United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Germany combined. The protesters number in the thousands and operate out of Tehran where just eleven percent of the population lives. And I keep hearing that the demonstrations
are being coordinated through texting, twitter and social networking sites. So who in Iran is texting, tweeting and facebooking ????
Is this really a revolution of the people or are we dealing with something else here ? When oh when will the mainstream media offer us some PERSPECTIVE when dealing with complex sociopolitical issues in foreign countries ??? |

Yardie: the results in Jamaica are consistent with paternity results elsewhere. We need to emphasise that the 3 out of 10 results refer to tests sought and not
to the general population. In fact, one would expect these results to be higher when a man is challenging paternity but still he hears 7 out of 10 times that
YOU ARE THE FATHER.

That means 70% of the time they are the father and I am sure that the % of the 70% who still believe that they are not the father is very high. Lack of sperm accountability is very high in my opinion. |

Thank u Jesus for the Video

"On first glance, the snapshot appears to show President Obama caught in a moment of less than lofty analysis. But upon looking at the video, the moment seems to appear quite
innocent - one of those times when a picture can be misleading. The president was on a higher step and was stepping down - so he looked down to assure his
footing as the woman was walking up the stairs." - ABC News' Jake Tapper

I am now officially an "aging person" and "dwindling" too !

There is a wonderful piece about the history of radio written by Keeble McFarlane in today's Gleaner. AE, did you see it bro ?
He left the saddest part for the last paragraph: "The most unfortunate aspect of the whole business is that very little of all that lovingly prepared material was preserved for posterity, and the memory exists only in the minds of a dwindling number of aging people...." |

Yardie, I read somewhere where someone said that Jamaica is not an archivist society. I am not that old (42) but I am witnessing in my own lifetime the loss of
these recorded history of the seventies when I was coming up. I remember reading also Miss Lou in an interview saying that some of the tapes of Ring Ding(which
if memory recall ran for at least 10 years) were recorded over, forever erasing one of the most loved and revered children's program when I was growing up.
Its a program that brought to the fore the talents of many young people including the dancer Mr. Bogle who was murdered a couple of years ago. Its a crying
shame.
Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

And jamaica must be the only place too that does not know how to leverage those archived material. Can you imagine the frenzy if some of those Ring Ding tapes
and Where it at were replayed now? Some entrepeneural person to juus package and sell it. Even just doing a Where are they now series. We always drop the ball
when it comes to harnessing our valuables.
That Picture: I hope potential jurors take heed. How many times police come to court with pictures of accused in the act and they get convicted because they 'had the picture'?

Yes indeed, Prof. Yardy, Miss Barbara is to be commended and recognized for her unselfish compassion in putting roofs over the heads
of her beloved Jamaicans.
A shout out to our own Sis Ann who also works tirelessly to assist the folks back home.

Maya Angelou's Elegy for Michael Jackson
|
Beautiful.
http://www.breitbart.tv/jackson-memorail-queen-latifah-reads-we-had-him-a-poem-written-for-michael-by-maya-angelou "We Had Him" Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind. Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace.
Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.
He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.
His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.
Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Black Star Square.
We are missing Michael.
