So Professor Yardie, are you insinuating that Miss Why's sleek-looking cyar (or rather, Amy's tyad owl one),
bears a luminous plate with a dysfunctional tail light? I do concur that it depends on the angle from which you look at it.

Ooops! yuh talking bout di light an not the plate!

But serious analysis suggests that that car is owned by a Jamaican man in his 40s or even early 50s, who is confident,
and outspoken, humourous and outgoing......and love...... (But wait, I haven't heard that AE has moved to NY!.....)
But then too, that depends on the angle from which you look at it! But isn't that so with most things in life?

Police accused of selling weapon to gunmen

Another policeman has found himself in trouble with the law.

The Constable, who is a member of the Island Special Constabulary Force, was picked up on Friday afternoon for questioning in connection with the disappearance of a service pistol at the New Kingston Police Post.

It is reported that the Glock pistol disappeared on Sunday from the police post and that the probe has pointed investigators to the cop now in custody.

According to reports the Constable and a Corporal were on duty on Sunday.

After the two had completed their duties, the Corporal who was armed with the Glock, placed the gun on a table while he changed out of his uniform.

Sources say after changing his clothes, the Corporal realised that his gun was missing and his colleague was nowhere to be found.

RJR News understands that the police have received information that the stolen pistol was later sold for $150,000 to gunmen in the August Town area.

It is understood that the gunmen have demanded the return of their money before handing over the weapon to the police.

A source at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station confirmed the arrest of the policeman to RJR News.

However, he declined to give details.

He said the policeman will be questioned in the presence of his attorney.

RJR News understands that the Constable who was recently suspended had just returned to duty.

Ever since you asked the question about the monkey business on Monkey Island I have been trying without success to find out who the principals (not the front men/developers) are for this bone headed scheme. Every body with a stake in that side of the Parish is uniformly against this so as I always say, when something noh mek sense, just follow the dollar bill to si whofah han it lan into and you will get your answer. I will report back to the tree when I hear some more.

I attended a gun show earlier today and it continues to be a serious security hole. My purchases were all cash, no receipt and no identification asked for. I could have purchased a Bushmaster carbine and left with it today, no background check, no waiting, for delivery, no questions asked. And many people I saw were leaving with all manner of firearms in their hands and putting them in the trunk of their cars. The legislature really needs to eliminate this waiver that gun shows have. Scary stuff.

By the way, Bushmaster models start at about $1200 before tax and ammo. Ammo costs between $1-$2 per round. Many models will fire between 200 - 250 rounds….per minute !

If what my Babylon fren dem tell me is true, some serious money is being spent ( by who ?) to arm ghetto youth in JA. And they (that is the police) for the most part, do not have this kind of weaponry at their disposal.

Prof. Yardy: Speaking of guns. My birth parish of Clarendon done gone already with the criminals, their big guns and their cronies. But it hurts my soul to see the one parish that seems to have escaped the mayhem now joining the flock. Lord have mercy!
